Gerry P. Smith was named Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors in February 2017. Previously, Smith served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lenovo Group Limited and served in a number of senior executive roles across Lenovo’s business. Smith joined Lenovo in 2006 and was instrumental in the company’s growth to become the largest personal computer (PC) company. He was also a leader in building the company’s global brand recognition and expansion during the past decade. In his role as Executive Vice President, he was responsible for operations across Lenovo’s global product portfolio. Previously as Chief Operating Officer of the Personal Computing Group and Enterprise Business Group, he led Lenovo to the top position in world-wide PC sales and as President of the Americas, he led Lenovo’s America’s Group to record market share and profits. He also served as Senior Vice President of Lenovo’s Global Supply Chain, where his leadership was recognized by leading research firm, Gartner, in ranking Lenovo’s supply chain among the best in the world.
Prior to Lenovo, Smith held executive positions at Dell, Inc. from 1994 until 2006, as the company became a global leader in PCs. During his tenure, he built the Dell Singapore Design Center and led Dell to the leading market position in flat panels as Vice President and General Manager of Displays. He is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University.
N. David Bleisch was named Executive Vice President, Chief Legal & Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary in August 2018. Previously Bleisch served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer from September 2017 to August 2018. Bleisch leads the strategic direction of the legal organization and operations, as well as manages the regulatory and compliance matters for the company. Additionally, he is responsible for Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Real Estate, Construction and Aviation.
Bleisch has broad expertise in securities compliance, enterprise risk management, corporate finance, antitrust, litigation, intellectual property management, government and regulatory affairs, investor relations, labor and employment issues, shareholder engagement, class action lawsuits and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the company, Bleisch was Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for The ADT Corporation, where he managed the legal, environmental, health and safety, government affairs and corporate governance teams.
Earlier in his career, Bleisch served in several leadership roles at Tyco International before being appointed Vice President and General Counsel of Tyco Security Solutions. He also managed the intellectual property legal group for all of Tyco’s operating segments worldwide.
Bleisch received his Juris Doctor Degree from Boston College Law School.
John W. Gannfors was named Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising and Supply Chain Officer in August 2018. In this role, Gannfors is responsible for the company’s overall merchandise strategy and functions including buying, planning, product design and development, as well as strategic sourcing. Additionally, Gannfors leads the Transformation Office and oversees the company’s procurement, supply chain, marketing and customer service functions. Previously, Gannfors served as Executive Vice President Transformation, Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain.
Gannfors is a global leader with a proven track record of creating immediate value in diverse organizations by driving strategy and strategic alignment, effective operational business transformation and strategic sourcing initiatives. He joined The ODP Corporation after nearly ten years at Lenovo Group Limited, where he was instrumental in driving business results as a key leader in its Data Center Group Global Supply Chain and as its Chief Procurement Officer.
Prior to joining Lenovo, he spent 12 years in leadership roles at Dell. Gannfors began his career in Product Management at Lockheed Martin’s Calcomp division, as well as Definicon Systems. Gannfors earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Lutheran University.
Terry Leeper was named Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer in July 2020. In this role, Leeper is responsible for setting The ODP Corporation technical vision and leading its technological advancement, ensuring that the company aligns its product and services platforms and architecture with business priorities and growth initiatives.
Leeper previously held executive positions at Amazon and Microsoft. He most recently served as Head of Product and Tech of Amazon Business for six years, prior to which he was Director of Software Development for Amazon’s Retail Systems Platforms. Before Amazon, Leeper was with Microsoft for 12 years, where he held the positions of Director Platform Strategy while living in the U.K., and Director of Developer Division while living in China.
Leeper holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
Zoë Maloney was named Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer in November 2021. In this role, Maloney is responsible for leading the development of human resources strategies and initiatives in support of business objectives to drive overall company results. She partners with the Executive Committee and key leadership to create and implement strategies for organization and leadership effectiveness, talent and change management, total rewards, employee relations and culture. She also oversees the company’s community investment programs and initiatives.
Maloney joined The Office Depot Corporation in February 2005 and has more than 25 years of experience in communications, organization and leadership development, and human resources. Prior to joining Office Depot, Maloney served in various management positions at Johnson & Johnson, 3-Dimensional Pharmaceuticals, and CDI International.
Maloney holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Sociology from Towson University.
Kevin Moffitt was named Senior Vice President, Chief Retail Officer in January 2018, and was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Retail Officer in November 2018. In this role, Moffitt is responsible for reimagining the company’s retail business and collaborating across the executive team to solidify the company’s growth strategy leveraging its retail footprint. Additionally, he is responsible for developing innovative business strategies that tap into our compelling assets to disrupt the market.
Moffitt, who joined The ODP Corporation in July 2012, has over 20 years of experience in omnichannel and e-commerce business management. Previously, Moffitt served as Chief Digital Officer, where he was responsible for the Direct business P&L and created a world-class online experience for the company’s customers. Additionally, he was responsible for building the company’s digital platforms and identifying new ways to accelerate growth online, along with mobile and new digital services. Earlier in his career, Moffitt held leadership roles at Dillard’s Department Stores, Circuit City Stores and Putnam Investments.
Moffitt earned a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond. He also holds a Master of Arts in Documentary Filmmaking from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University.
Stephen M. Mohan was named Executive Vice President of the Business Solutions Division (BSD) in May 2019. In this role, Mohan is responsible for accelerating growth of B2B sales across all customer segments and vertical markets. Additionally, he provides day-to-day leadership and management to the digital business and contract sales functions and helps develop and implement short- and long-term initiatives that accelerate business results for BSD.
Prior to joining The ODP Corporation, Mohan was Senior Vice President of sales and marketing, North American Transportation for XPO Logistics. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at Clean Harbors and Senior Vice President, field sales for Republic Services. His career began in 1999 at Reed Business Information, where he led acquisition and management of a large account portfolio for a leading provider of data and business information solutions.
Mohan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bridgewater State University.
D. Anthony Scaglione was named Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in July 2020. In this role, Scaglione is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and accounting, as well as leading investor relations, internal audit, tax, and treasury functions.
Scaglione joins The ODP Corporation from ABM Industries Incorporated where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In addition to overseeing all financial, M&A, IT, tax, enterprise services and procurement aspects for ABM Industries during his eleven-year tenure, Scaglione was also instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s successful, long-term strategic transformation. Prior to joining ABM Industries, Scaglione held executive finance positions at CA Technologies.
Scaglione is a graduate of Rutgers University, holding dual honors degrees in Finance and Accounting, and holds a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP®). Scaglione is a previous Board Member and the past Chairman of the Board of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), the professional society that represents finance executives across the globe, having previously chaired its Audit Committee.
Mick Slattery was named President of the CompuCom Division of The ODP Corporation in June 2019. In this role, Slattery is responsible for providing strong global leadership and operational excellence to advance both CompuCom’s and the company’s mission and strategy. He shapes and executes the strategy that enables CompuCom to deliver best-in-breed IT services and solutions to its clients – harnessing CompuCom’s unique capabilities to pursue market opportunities that drive profitable growth.
Slattery has nearly 30 years of experience in the technology-enabled business services space. He most recently served as CEO of Conduent Transportation, a division of Conduent, Inc., a technology-led business process services company. Prior to that, Slattery was a founding executive team member of Avanade, Inc., a global professional services company formed as a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft providing IT consulting and services. During his 17-year career there, he ultimately served as president, North America after serving in a series of roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
Slattery is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and holds a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
